Hurricane V2 Coiling & Wicking Tips with Clapton Wire
If you own the Hurricane V2, you would most definitely agree that its a very flexible atomizer. With three different airflow inserts, you can get a tight MTL vape or a wide-open cloud chasing vape.
So there are actually a tons of different builds you can put in the Hurricane v2. In this video I want to show you one of them, my favorite build. Here’s what I am using:
- 28g claptons from Thunderhead Creations
- Native Wicks platinum blend
- Tools from the CoilMaster DIY Kit V2
My goal with this build is to get a high-resistance Clapton build, about 1.2 – 1.5 Ohms. A build like this would require about 20 – 24 watts. It will work in most mods out there, even older ones that typically do not support sub-ohm vaping.
The trick to getting this build is the Clapton wire. The 28g core keeps the resistance low, while making the wire small enough for a tcnk like the Hurricane. You can get it secure under the screws.
The result is a flavorful vape, with vapor production that far exceeds your typical 1.2 Ohm build. It’s not for a MTL vape however. The tank stays pretty cool, getting slightly warm only when you chain vape.
That being said, this build turned out preect for me, although I got one wrap too many in there. I’ve used this build for more than a month, with many different liquids.
For me, this is the perfect build for my Hurricane V2.
