Dotmod Petri V2 Clone Review
For $10, the Dotmod Petri V2 clone is going to be one of the best RDA’s you own. It looks fantastic, has excellent build quality and vapes like a champ. What else can you ask for?
In this video, I show you what you get from this amazing Dotmod Petri V2 clone in the kit, as well as the overall build quality inside and outside. The paint job on this clone is one of the best I’ve seen so far. It has an anodized aluminium finish that is not easy to scratch away.
The posts are large and study, but I did get a little bit of a wobble from on of them posts in my Petri V2 clone. I’m not sure if this is a unique problem or if all the batches have the same issue. Still, it’s worth mentioning so you know what you might actually get.
Either way, it didn’t effect the build that I have in here much. I was able to get my flat Clapton wires in nicely and the grub screws were tight and smooth. I had some issues getting both coils to glow evenly but that was perhaps due to my building skills
The Petri V2 clone also comes in red and black. There are many different versions of the V2 clone and I think most of them got it wrong. A lot of the clones are actually using the same build deck from the Dotmod Petri V1.5 with a modified topcap, and calling it a V2. Some get the posts right but not the post screws.
This Petri V2 clone that I show in the video is the closest I’ve personally seen to being a 1:1 replica of the authentic. Comes with a matching driptip, and extra “competition” chuff cap. Of course, the authentic uses more luxurious materials, and if you can afford I definitely recommend getting one.
There’s also a Petri mechanical mod clone that is on it’s way to me. As soon as I get it, I will do another review where it will fit the Petric V2 clone on it, and see how it comes together as a complete package.
