22mm Squonk RDAs
The largest selection of bottom-feeding RDAs are the 22mm range, and I’ve listed them here so you can easily find one that fits your squonker.
The new RDA by Gas Mods can easily be mistaken for a high-end $150 rda. This is no accident, since the company has years of experience designing and manufacturing high-ends RDAs for other brands.
22mm with removable airflow inserts make it very flexible. A “slammed” design measuring less than 20mm in height without a driptip. The flavor is really intense on the G.R.1 and it’s pretty easy to work with.
Plus, there are tons of caps and driptips by Gas Mods at really affordable prices, including 24mm caps. You can mix and match easily and it will look great on a whole lot of squonk mod setups. The newer version has a black deck.
Skyfall RDA Clone – $15
The Skyfall RDA is perhaps the most sought-after squonk RDA. With a limited run and slow production on the authentic, it’s very hard to obtain.
The clone is a 22mm atty with a ultem / PEI airflow control. It also has replaceable airflow inserts for different styles of vaping. The body construction is 316 stainless steel, and it is designed as a single coil RDA.
Hadaly RDA Clone – $15
The Hadaly RDA is one of the best flavor-chasing RDAs I have personally used, and convinced me to switch to squonking. It has a low-profile and a unique single-coil clamp-style deck. You can buy replacement colored or ultem topcaps to complete the look.
It’s a 22mm atty with a minimalist exterior design, and adjustable side airflow. You can get an amazing vape with all types of coils, and it has plenty of airflow. The only real con with the Hadaly is that it oversquonks pretty easily.
The authentic has been discontinued since the Entheon, however you can some pretty good clones.
Haku Venna (Clone) – $15
The Venna is a pretty fine single coil RDA. It is more restricted than the earlier Haku RDAs, but the build quality is a step up. With a short profile and lots of accessory options available on FastTech, it’s a pretty popular clone.
It’s 22mm with vertical airflow holes on both sides. Made from 316 stainless steel.
Haku Phenom RDA (Clone) – $20
The Phenom Haku RDA is one of the most popular 22mm flavor-chasing squonk RDA in 2017. While the authentic costs about $100 and is only available through secret Facebook groups, you can grab this YFTK clone of the Haku right away.
It’s a single-coil, low-profile RDA with an unique airflow. In my review of the Haku, I told you that I had a great experience with it from the first build. I still feel that way and my Haku is still on top of my squonk RDA list. There are two versions, but this is the Haku Phenom clone which I prefer.
KRMA RDA (Clone) – $20
The KRMA by Mission XV is a minimalist 22mm single-coil squonking RDA with tons of flavor. It’s pretty hard to oversquonk on this RDA because of the two-level airflow. It’s hard to tell you exactly what’s special about the KRMA.
However, it is pretty easy to build on, and will look pretty good on a lot of squonk mods. Airflow is open-restricted, for a good combination of flavor and vapor.
Hussar RDA (Clone) – $16
The Hussar RDA is a tiny 22mm, stylish squonking RDA that will look great on any mod. It fits 510 driptips only, and has a super-small chamber. It’s pretty much the same deck as the Hussar RDTA, except you do not have a tank at the bottom.
The new squonk system distributes juice evenly on both sides. The Hussar RDA also comes with a new design cap. Getting an authentic invoilves joining a secret Facebook group.
Basic RDA (Clone) – $20
The clone is the old version of the Basic, which is my #1 flavor-chasing RDA. The deck is pretty similar to the current version, with top airflow controls. The Basic is a 22mm single-coil RDA.
Building on it is easy, although the airflow is pretty limited. You can get a good restricted lung hit from it.
SQUI RDA (Clone) – $8
The price is crazy on this SQUI clone. The authentic SQUI squonk RDA by Proteus Progeks was a limited-run design and is no longer available.
22mm and made for single coil, the clamp system works well. However, you may find it easier to just trap your leads under the screws. The airflow and flavor is above average, and you get a flavorful restricted lung hit from it.
Armor RDA (Clone) – $20
Its a tiny RDA that can pack a punch, and was designed for squonking. With a 22mm diameter, you can fit medium sized builds for both single or dual-coil setups. The thing that makes the Armor different is the airflow. Expect a smooth vape with minimal spitback and awesome flavor, even with the clone.
You can get the version 1 or version 2. The deck is about the same, with the version 2 introducing a slightly different airflow design.
